Can you believe this place is real? Have you heard of Fantasy Canyon? It is a place that is often over looked. Eric has been wanting to go for a long time so when we went to Vernal for the weekend we made a trip to Fantasy Canyon. It is about 45 minutes from Vernal. The road is paved most of the way & a very good road. I had read online that it was easy to get lost going to Fantasy Canyon but it wasn’t hard for us to find at all. Our phones took us right there. The only thing that could be confusing is the first road is just for ATV’s but the sign says that & then you keep going! It was really fun to drive out in the middle of nowhere through all the oil fields.

On the way there & back we saw some way cool things! We say a couple groups of wild horses that were so beautiful! We also saw quite a few antelopes. I am unsure what kind exactly they are but it was something I had never seen so I loved it- & so did Beck! We were the only people at Fantasy Canyon which is totally different than Goblin Valley. It is crazy the land is BLM because the sculptures are so fragile. Fantasy Canyon is a lot smaller than Goblin Valley but it is also different, not busy & free!

The day we went it was a little chilly but I would love to come back with a picnic. There were various picnic tables & a nice bench in the inside of the canyon. The parking lot is right by the canyon so it is not a hike at all. Beck had a blast & so did Eric & I! Going to Fantasy Canyon was a fun adventure & I highly recommend it! There were a lot of signs saying to watch for rattle snakes so be careful if you go & bring some water along. You will have a blast!
