March 7th is Alexander Graham Bell day! On March 7th, 1876 Alexander patented his new prototype of the telephone! I think that the phone is one thing that has changed our lives SO dang much! Perhaps quite a bit more than a lot of other inventions- so many lives have been saved & lost probably to the telephone. Pretty much monumental! I can’t even imagine not having a phone. This sounds so millennial of me but I am so glad I have a smart phone to help me with directions. I can’t imagine having to print out directions or bring a map with me when I am trying to find new places. I wanted to spend the day thinking about how grateful I am for the telephone. Eric & I had a lot of fun celebrating the day with Beck! We really didn’t do too much but it was fun to make this paper cup telephone! I am sure you could whip up some cute telephone treats!

When Alexander invented the telephone he said that it would be used to inform people that a telegram has been sent. Oh my how times have changed! Beck loves phones- it is crazy to me how he already knows so much about how to use them on his own. Alexander Graham Bell also said that one day every major city in the America will have a telephone. Some people may of called him a dreamer – it is actually inspiring to see how the telephone now days is considered a necessity for people.

Beck’s boots are linked here! Seriously they look like Dr Martens books but I got them on Amazon for cheap!! They took a little bit to arrive but not bad at all!

Think a little today about how amazing it is to have phones, and then cell phones & a SMART phone! Thanks Alexander!
