“There is a superhero in all of us- we just need the COURAGE to put on the cape.” Superman
April 28th is National Superhero Day! This was a holiday we had to celebrate. I once saw a wall that said be a hero today and it was perfect. I have searched & searched for it & finally found out what happened to it & that it is indeed gone. I have loved the message on that wall & have thought about it for the last year or so. I want Beck to grow up knowing he is a hero & can always be a hero to someone each day. He is my hero so many days when he makes me laugh & always makes me smile.
I found this cute little doll he is holding in the Target dollar section & I found the masks in a pack at Hobby Lobby. I think the masks would be so fun at party where the kids each decorate their own. I love tying swaddles as capes- of course I make sure Beck is supervised & won’t hurt himself. But I had the perfect swaddle for this holiday! One of my favorite pictures ever of Beck is using this swaddle:
Isn’t it sooo precious? Beck was only 4 days old! Ah this picture makes me so baby hungry!
Fun ways to celebrate Superhero Day could be:
- decorating masks – out of plates too
- decorating capes – make out of t-shirts, tablecloths
- make & decorate cuffs – use toilet paper rolls
- draw & make a comic book
- superhero shield- use a paper plate
- saw some fun superhero bingo charts on Pinterest
- make Thor cupcakes- marshmallow with pretzel stick stuck in it
I hope you celebrate with your little ones! I am sure as Beck gets older he is going to be a superhero lover- like most little boys!
