I’m so excited to share about some of my favorite dream home design elements from the Utah Valley Parade of Homes! I love the Utah Valley Parade of Homes and have been at least the last 7ish years in a row. I never miss it! It is so fun to get inspired, see new trends and just have a fun date night or girl’s night out. This year with COVID all of the homes are virtual and then some can be seen in person as well. It has been fun to have the variety to see a mix. I love walking through in person but it is fun late at night when the kids are in bed to watch a virtual parade. I can’t wait to share some of my dream home design elements that I want to save perhaps for a *future* home haha. And the parade goes until August 8th so be sure to grab some tickets here! I have only been to 5 houses so far so I have a lot more to see and share and can’t wait.
Exterior and Pool Areas of Dream Home Design
One of my favorite part of the Utah Valley Parade of Homes is the landscaping. And with landscaping I love when there is a pool. My in-laws have a swimming pool and I just can’t get enough haha!
This home had stunning fountains, walls and just so beautiful and modern- I am a fan!
It is rare to see a stone home. I love the style of this home and feel like it is so classic and timeless. The interior of the home was just as beautiful too!
This pool had the most beautiful landscaping, lounge chairs etc. I love when pools have waterfall fountains like this. So calm and serene haha!
Laundry Room
I loved this laundry room! Soooo fun! I love the rolling bins. It would be so nice for each kid to have a bin to separate them, sort them etc. I also love when a laundry room is also a work area or craft area etc. So nice to have a room where you can do crafts, sew, fold laundry etc. The checkered black and white floor is also pretty amazing!
Kitchen Areas
This marble was unreal! I couldn’t stop staring at it. It was also really pretty to have the floating shelves. I think normally when I see floating shelves they are wooden but these glass ones stuck with the modern theme. The marble hood is AMAZING!
This area was such a pretty little pantry room. It also doubled as a craft type room. I really love those wire baskets. It would make it so easy to see what you have and find things. I love that you don’t have to have appliances on your counter but can instead keep them here.
Bathrooms, Common Areas etc
I would love to have a drinking fountain in my home. Total dream home design! I loved that this drinking fountain area also had a bench to sit on for shoes etc. Across from this space were mudroom lockers that were so cute! I love this fun greenish paint color.
I am a bath lover! And if I had this bath I don’t think I would everrrrrr get out! It was a concrete bath that was amazing! I also really love the wood feature wall behind the tub. Behind this wall was a huge walk through shower that was also amazing.
I think that lighting is a deal breaker. I loved these big spheres and the impact that they made. Also nice and lightweight which is a plus.
Fun Features in Dream Home Design
And now for the fun stuff! When you are talking dream home design you need to talk about movie rooms, golf simulators and all that fun stuff!
This movie room is by far my favorite that I have ever seen! I love the cinema sign and the lights and the movie posters. There is also a basement kitchen right there that had a popcorn maker AND a butter pump! Dream come true haha.
I would love an under the stairs play house. This one was good sized, had a play kitchen in it and was oh so cute!
