I LOVE soda! That is probably bad to admit but hey I do! I am a huge water drinker too so don’t stress haha. Where I live in Utah there are a lot of soda shops where you can get custom flavored soda but it can be pricey. So I love to make my own flavored sodas at home with Torani syrup. I am excited to share my favorite flavored soda recipes!
I have used Torani syrup many time for Italian sodas. They are so yummy especially with a splash of cream! But I love Torani syrup for flavored soda. It is so fun to whip our flavored soda recipes with whatever soda you have at home and Torani syrup. I have tried other flavored syrups and hands down Torani is the best!! This isn’t sponsored- just all that my family will use. I love it too because you can get Torani syrup from Amazon!
Flavored Soda Recipes
First things first you have to start with what base you want! I like soda from a soda machine way better than a 2 liter bottle. So I will often bring a plain gas station soda home and add my flavors. But for parties and such I love using 2 liter bottles for the ease factor and cost. Here is a soda bar we did at Beck’s 3rd birthday party!
So start with your base soda! I love Dr. Pepper and Eric loves Coke and Mountain Dew. Then for fruity fun and kids we always get a Fresca and a Sprite.
Now let’s get to the recipes! Let’s start with Sprite/7UP recipes!
Strawberry, Peach & Watermelon
Raspberry Puree & Pineapple Puree
Pomegranate, Raspberry & Fresh Lime (True Lime)
Dr. Pepper is my favorite so here are some tested and true Dr Pepper flavored soda mixes!
Peach & Vanilla Cream (my very favorite)
Raspberry, Blackberry & Fresh Lime (True Lime)
Blackberry, Coconut & Vanilla Cream
Coke, Diet Coke & Coke Zero are all drink mix favorites! Here are some flavor profiles that work well with Coke products.
Coconut & Fresh Lime (True Lime)
Pineapple, Coconut & Vanilla Cream
Raspberry Puree & Fresh Lime (True Lime)
Fruity Mountain Dew drinks are so fun! Here are some we love!
Passionfruit, Coconut & Blue Curacao
Pina Colada Puree & Strawberry
Mango Puree & Strawberry Puree
Raspberry, Peach & Vanilla Cream
Instructions & How Much to Pump
Now let me get into the details- how much to pump etc. I should also mention that just like you can make the soda diet or regular. Torani makes sugar free syrups that are awesome too! Highly recommend!
For general rule of thumb- I pump about 2 normal sized quickish pumps into a 20 ounce cup. If it is a 44 oz drink I will do about 4 pumps and then test it out. Like a lot of things- it is better to have too little and add more than too much syrup.
If you are starting out and want a good starter pack of syrups. Then I love this summer 3 pack- yummy syrups you will use all the time and a great deal!
It is so fun to try out different creams & purees to elevate your drinks more than just syrup does. I also love fresh fruit like lemons and limes.
Also I highly recommend getting pumps for your syrups. I love the look of these gold ones and it will make your life so much easier and less sticky!
I’m going to share something I share all the time but my favorite cup- is my Yeti tumbler or this Stanley Tumbler Dupe. I can sip on it all day and it stays cold! I have this cute coral color. My favorite straws to use with my tumbler are linked here.
(Update: I actually LOVE my Stanley tumbler the most now but the other cups are great too!)
Enjoy making your flavored soda recipes! Flavored soda is such a fun way to take your party or day to the next level!
