Okay I am going to spill the BEST place in Utah to see wildflowers! I can’t wait to share where to find the Albion Basin wildflowers!
But first hear me out here. Eric has a dream to have a piece of land where one day we can plant a ton of wildflowers & poppies & have our own flower paradise. I am totally on board & would love it! I love wildflowers & we recently shared about where we found pretty poppies HERE.
We don’t own any land but we think we have a place where we could do it. So we will see. So til now I will have to fight crowds to get wildflower pictures haha. It is so hard too because people don’t stay on trails & smash the perfect flowers. How fun would it be to have your own Albion Basin wildflowers?!
In July- The Albion Basin up by Snowbird Ski Resort fills with these beautiful yellow looking daisies. It does get a little busy! We tried to come on a weekday but it was still busy. We actually had to pay to drive through- it was $5 or $7. You can park before the toll booth if you want & hike- it wasn’t too far about a mile but we weren’t wearing shoes that could make it. I recommend going at Golden Hour & going to the end by the campground & walking from there because it was less busy down there. I also think if you hike you can find some other colored flowers along the way. I have heard that hiking to Cecret Lake is amazing & there are a lot of flowers.
You just head up Little Cottonwood Canyon & go to the end of the road by Albion Basin Campground. Have fun & you will get some beautiful shots! I really feel like I am in Switzerland or something looking at these photos. The hills are just alive!
