Stadium of Fire is a celebration of America’s independence and Utah’s history. It features fireworks, live music, and activities. However, it can be pretty expensive if you have a lot of people to pay for. Why not find another spot to watch them and get your favorite music playing. Watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks from any one of these great spots:

Rock Canyon School Fields

Rock Canyon Elementary School fields perfect place to watch Stadium of Fire fireworks.

The fields at the Rock Canyon School Fields are an awesome place to view the Stadium of Fire fireworks from. It’s located on the corner of 2320 North and Timpview Drive in Provo. There is parking at the LDS Church to the north of the field.

This location is one of the closest places to the stadium and is high enough to get a good vantage point of the stadium. The best part of the field is on a hill on the north end of the field so the best seating options here blankets or chairs if you get a spot right on top of the hill. We just got some of these lightweight chairs that are perfect for these types of things. They are really easy to carry around and pack up really small.

Squaw Peak

Squaw Peak, or now known as Kyhv Peak, one is a little more of a drive but you’ll see more fireworks than just the Stadium of Fire. To get to this location you’ll need to start going up Provo Canyon and turn off at the first right after entering the canyon.

Once you get to the parking lot at the top there are a few parking spots. This may not be the best spot for families as it will most likely be couples and it’s pretty steep and could be a little dangerous in the dark with kids.

Rock Canyon Park

This is can be a pretty busy park to watch the fireworks at but it’s very big and offers some great views of the stadium! If you want to make a day out of it there are picnic tables, pavilions, and a couple playgrounds. Playing games is one of our favorite things to do at the park. Lately we’ve been loving Bocce Ball. It’s easy enough for kids and big kids like it too! You’ll want to make sure that you get there early enough to get spots on top of the hill as at the bottom it will be harder to see the fireworks.

If you want to use one of the pavilions you’ll need to make a reservation at least 8 days in advance but for an event like this it will definitely need to be made sooner.

Carterville Park

Carterville Park has a big open field and a few pavilions. This park is further away than some of these other locations so you may have a better chance of not having to get there too early to stake out a spot.

This is totally a perfect place to get dinner from one of the local restaurants and bring it here or just plan to hang around all day. If you decide on this location and to make a day out of it. I would highly recommend getting an canopy tent like this one so that you can take advantage of all open grass space and not have to reserve a pavilion.

MTC Field

The lawn area located on the southwest side of the Provo Temple is a great spot to quickly set up a little blanket and few chairs to watch Stadium of Fire from. I’ve never done this one personally but I’ve heard it’s a pretty good location.

I believe this field is owned by the MTC. I’ve never heard of anyone not being allowed to view the fireworks from here, there is a chance that it could happen. It is private property so if you do choose this location, be sure to treat it with a lot of respect so as to not ruin it for future years.
