I am so excited to share with you my new favorite recipe. It is soooo yummy! It is kinda like traditional chex mix but WAY better! You will love this medley of ooey gooey goodness made of different cereals. But this chex party mix recipe also has some extra goodness such as coconut! We sometimes call it Christmas Crack or Honeycomb Crunch. Call it what you want- it is delicious! I made it for my son’s party that was bee themed. It was a hit and sooo cute with the honeycombs in it! Check out that party here!
How to Make Chex Party Mix Recipe
Step One
In a sauce pan over medium heat- combine the karo syrup, butter and sugar. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes then let sit for a minute and cool off the heat. I like boiling mine in this enamel dutch oven. It has handles which makes it easy to pour. I use it for everything! Has amazing reviews and a great price point!
Step Two
While the ingredients are boiling. Mix together all your dry ingredients. I like putting them in this big bowl. It holds it all and is perfect for a crowd, easy to clean etc.
Step Three
To finish up the chex party mix recipe- pour the sticky ingredients from step one over the dry mixture. Use a silicone spatula to mix it all together. Once it is covered and coated get out a cookie sheet. Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper (these sheets make it so easy!) and pour the mixture all over to “dry” it is mostly just to let it cool down.
This ooey goodness will stay good for a few days. Just be sure to store it in an air tight container– these ones are the best. This chex party mix recipe is so yummy! Once I start eating it- I really can’t stop! So I only make it if we are having a party or a crowd so I don’t go too crazy!
